The Versova Bandra Sea Link
Mumbai, India
Studio Fuksas has proposed to develop a sea link from Versova to Bandra in the suburbs of Mumbai.
The Versova Bandra Sea Link is a sea bridge starting from the Bandra end of Bandra Worli Sea Link (BWSL) and terminate at Versova (Near Nana Nani Park). The VBSL will be located approximately 900m to 1800m from the Coast, with a lenght of approximately 10 km, with dispersal points at Juhu Koliwada and Jogger’s Park.
The sea link will have 4+4 lanes on both the sides. Actually, there is no open space available for the expansion of the existing roads. The congestion leads to delay in travel time, so there’s a great need for the alternative faster transportation system, which will be achieved by this proposed link. The Versova Bandra Sea Link would enlighten up the congestion of the urban existing roads and create a new lighthouse offshore Mumbai cost.
