Beside the eclisse

Reading as geology and future.

A tilting platform to remember the uncertainty of our condition, a dream of transparency, to finally see the heart of things. Going towards the center, for a second, without passing through the surface.
It’s something unexpected, a surprise, the show we’ve been waiting for.
Our responsibility, in the form of a chasm. Poetry has lost its rose petals and turned into an event.
Into action.
The captive earth that suffocates, we are heavy, we make a difference, we deform its crust, we exploit it and reconstitute it.
A window on the smooth glass curve, a trap door, a secret.
It hides a story, maybe a voice, a disaster, a little mystery.
It could be anything: a volcano, an ocean, a city, your city, its eyes, a time travel… or maybe just smoke and ash.
The illusion that truth really is the deepest depth of things.
Tautologies aside, seeing makes all the difference, as the premise of all forms of knowledge.
The basements of our soul, a planet that is evaporating.”

Project
The installation consists of a circular platform with a diameter of eight metres, on which a glass-covered platform “rolls” below the floor.
Below the floor, in an interactive surface of B.Lab, some colored liquids are enclosed that, underneath the weight of those who walk in it, move going to generate continuosly different shapes. At the center of the installation transparent bubble is placed,hiding a lined compartment with reflective material and filled with colored liquid that generates, once open, thick smoke.
