Scuderie Aldobrandini, Frascati

The five year period (2000-2005) prove the creative maturity of Massimiliano Fuksas, the passage of the “Light Architecture”, where the essential were the lightness and transparency, to the “Sculptural Architecture”, where matter and sculpture play a dominant role.
Five, is a title and a significant number that acquires both a spatial and temporal power because 5 are the presented projects in this exhibition: The EUR Congress center in Rome, the Ferrari Center in Maranello, the S.Giacomo Church in Foligno, the Porta Palazzo Pavillion in Torino and the Nardini Research Center in Bassano del Grappa. 5 works that confirm the presence of Fuksas in Italy, and allows for the fundamental understanding of his most recent work, the New Rho-Pero Milano Fair .
This exhibition develops o the first floor of Scuderie Aldobrandini, a flexible and appropriate space designed by himself, while theground floor is reserved to the permanent archaeological collection, with its original scenography.
The exhibition and the Museum in perfect harmony.
The first section, located in the middle, is known as the “”Tappeto volante” because it seems to float in space, allowing for the visitor to know in detail the presented Fuksas projects, with all models, videos and drawings.
The second section is located I the Auditorium. A circular structure, floating around 80cm from the ground that develops for about 3m long, filtering the vision threw a big screen on the wall, for projections of videos of the projects. The instalation receives a series of small plasma monitors that reproduces, as small frames, the fundamental moment of the project realization, from the the idea to the built work.
