Parallelo42: a podcast about architecture and cinema with Massimiliano Fuksas and Chiara Sbarigia
This podcast tells the story of the emotional meeting with Massimiliano Fuksas and Chiara Sbarigia, the President of Istituto Luce Cinecittà. The interview edited by Mariantonietta Firmani is part of the Contemporaneamente podcast designed for Artribune.
Massimiliano Fuksas and Chiara Sbarigia talked about architecture and cinema, between space of the body and place of the mind. Their conversation focused on the fascination of cinema that introduces concepts of montage, sequence plans, multiple points of view into architecture, in a path that accumulates experience.
The advent of TV sent Italian cinema into crisis with schedules saturated with American films, so that Italians developed new audiovisual productions. From the osmosis between architecture and cinema as annulment of matter, all culture is connection and subversion, interaction between old and new ideas. Architecture is the art of peace. Quantum mechanics determines all technological evolutions, in audiovisual as in architecture, in Shenzhen with eighty algorithms we brought natural light into the building. There can be no happiness in a society where half the world’s population survives to support just one thousand two hundred people.
