BAUNETZ. DE “Building without borders, Massimiliano Fuksas turns 75”
Massimiliano Fuksas, who celebrates his 75th birthday today, is one of the greateast European architects. In 1967 he opened his first studio in Rome, and since 1985 he has worked with his partner Doriana Fuksas. They have offices in Rome, Paris and Shenzhen, and no construction task seems too big for them.
Their projects range from the Terminal for the Airport in Shenzhen, which was completed in 2013, to the Trade Fair in Rome, which opened in 2016, and the Philharmonic Hall in Tbilisi, which has been under construction since 2010. Moreover, a 205 meter high tower in Turin and the new Duomo subway station in Naples are currently under construction. The office recently won competitions for Gelendzhik Airport on the Black Sea in Russia and for the Fontvielle port area in Monaco.
