Studio Fuksas’ Guosen Securities Tower construction site completed!.
The construction site started in 2015, managed by Studio Fuksas, for the Guosen Securities Tower in Shenzhen, China, was completed in the end of December 2019.
The new skycraper, designed by Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas after winning the competition in 2011, is situated in Futian Discrict in the city’s central business hub with a size of 60,000 sqm for the office tower and of 20,000 sqm for the commercial podium.
The building’s exterior is characterized by a three-dimensional void that stretches the full height of the tower. The design of the void shape explores the relation between the podium and the vertical section of the tower with diagonal space and fluxes that create a vertical tension in the full height of the tower.
