Studio Fuksas at CERSAIE 2021 in Bologna

Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas present their installation for Gruppo Italcer (La Fabbrica – Ava) for Cersaie 2021. The pavilion, located on the main boulevard of the fair, looks like a large black envelope invaded by street art works by artist Tommaso Fagioli. The material brushstrokes of color on the external panels reproduce through a spontaneous gesture the names of the brands on display, attracting visitors into an experience of discovery.
The irregular and fragmented interior perimeter walls define the geometries of the setting, recalling the shape of a diamond and the many possibilities of use of ceramics.

SCRATCH, the new evolved ceramic material that comes from Studio Fuksas’ collaboration with Ava, luxury brand of Italcer,  is presented in the pavilion. In the form of slabs in pressed porcelain stoneware slabs, this ceramic tile draws on maximum ductility to absorb the most intimate essence of the materials that inspired its genesis.
