Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas’ Master Lecture “Love will save the world”, MAXXI, Rome
The the Lectio magistralis by Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas is special meeting, organized as part of the exhibition “AT HOME – Projects for contemporary living”.
Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas will explore the theme of living in contemporary times starting from the main projects carried out by Studio Fuksas, focusing in particular on the relationship with the territory and with everyday life places such as airports, offices and shopping centres.
A live performance will follow, during which the architects will reinterpret some large porcelain stoneware slabs from AVA’s Scratch collection designed by Studio Fuksas for the Italcer Group and recently presented at Cersaie and Milan Design Week 2019.
The exhibition “AT HOME. Projects for contemporary living” is curated by Margherita Guccione and Pippo Ciorra, it is the new installation of the MAXXI Architecture Collection, which recounts the evolution of the concept of living from the post-war period to the present days, through the works of the great masters of the 20thcentury and the new emerging figures on the international architectural scene.
The exhibition design aims to narrate architecture also through a physical and immersive experience of the visitor with a series of large full-scale installations and pavilions created site specific by Italian and international architects.
