On January 28th Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas participated in the program Newsroom Italia, conducted by Paolo Poggio, on RaiNews 24.
Innovation, technology, future projects, and the vision on the post-pandemic new way of living were the main topics of the interview.
Doriana Fuksas: “The need to change our behavior imposes a new vision in the design of hospital buildings and facilities. Flexibility, modularity and enhancement of territorial medicine must be the starting points in this post-pandemic architectural revolution. Homes must be rethought as modifiable spaces with rooms that can be separated and composed by sliding and transparent walls.”
Massimiliano Fuksas: “The possibility of the New Eur Convention Center “The Cloud” being transformed into a vaccine center shows that flexibility in architecture is a key element. In designing the building, we prepared large rooms that could precisely be used for emergency purposes, as in this case. We are very pleased that the Regione Lazio has contemplated that “The Cloud” will be used for this purpose.”
