“That well-known stranger Massimiliano, my father”

In the new issue of Esquire Italia magazine for March 2024, on newsstands from today by Hearst , Elisa Fuksas interviews her architect father Massimiliano Fuksas , a tribute to his 80th birthday this year.

“My father is a thing, a person, a archetype I’ve stayed away from since I started dying but to which I try to get closer, equally you, for as long as I can remember. In this report which behaves like a tide, but he is a fixed point, or rather a nebula of fixed points.”, writes Elisa Fuksas, writer, director and film maker, who asks her father: “How do others see you? And how would you like to be seen?” and the architect M. Fuksas replied: “I don’t know, nobody knows; the only thing is don’t worry about it. I would like to be seen as one person who did what he had to do. That he never cheated. My ideas, your ideas, not never betray them.”.
