Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas interviewed by Corriere della Sera for their debut in Puccini’s opera: «Opera is like building a palace»
On 5 July 2024 the Architects will bring their scenographic project, in a single system, for Tosca and Turandot to the Baths of Caracalla:
“The scene for the two titles is all white, to give strength to the characters, each of which has its own needs. The project is a fractal which is a geometric object where the part is equal to the whole, like a snowflake: if if you detach a small piece the shape does not change and repeats itself on different scales.” “Fractals – says Doriana Fuksas – are fragments that become memories of a world that is constituted and creates a scene that envelops the spectators with Caracalla, we try to give expressiveness to the environment with an architectural language.”
