“Detoxing architecture from inequalities. A plural act” – RebelArchitette @ 17th venezia Biennale.
RebelArchitette, an association that promotes women’s design on an international level, will give voice to the outstanding work of Italian women professionals, including the work of Doriana Fuksas, within the Italian Pavilion Resilient Communities – Resilient Communities at the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale with the theme “How will we live together?”.
The exhibition proposal by RebelArchitette entitled “Detoxing architecture from inequalities. A plural act.” aims to detoxify the world of architecture from inequalities. Starting from the issue of gender, still strongly present in our country, it proposes a feminine alternative through its open source tools aimed primarily at new generations.
A choral project of research and representation that does not propose exclusive formulas of selection, but that, on the other hand, privileges new readings of the profession still invisible to the general public. A contemporary and subversive formula in which a photo booth, a web platform, a short film in showreel mode and an imaginary virtual tour take shape.
Exposed in a fluid mode, straddling the analog and virtual worlds, 137 Italian role models among which Doriana Fuksas, who has been active part of the group since its foundation, will be revealed to be discovered: architects, designers, visionaries, masons, influencers, supported by an archisorellanza and yes, even a sincere archifratellanza.
