The June 2023 issue of Italo magazine talks about the project for The line by Fuksas.
“Studio Fuksas has been commissioned to design three housing areas of the first phase of the masterplan of The Line, the 170km city in Saudi Arabia, in the nature of NEOM. Mirror city in the desert, with zero CO2 emissions, the smart eco-sustainable city created along the coast of the Red Sea, powered 100% by renewable energy, originates from the concept of “Zero Gravity Urbanism”, i.e from the idea of vertically layering the urban functions. The project is conceived as an integrated urban development, hyperconnected, linear, with walkable neighborhoods, integrated mobility and with access
direct to the natural landscape. The Line communities will be cognitive, powered by AI, they will bring analytics into play predictions to make life easier, creating time for residents and businesses”.
