Doriana Fuksas reflects on how public spaces will change after the emergency.
“The health emergency requires a renewal to the whole world; together with a multidisciplinary team, we sent an open letter to the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, providing some health, economy and habitat guidelines. We have proposed an alternative housing model able to cope emergencies, equipped with tools for monitor our health and connected to the health facilities, avoiding unnecessary travel. In the condominiums we thought of an entire floor reserved for the community, to be adapted according to the different needs, where to gather the people during first aid or isolation. We underlined the importance of rethinking room ventilation systems, often the main cause of viruses and contagious diseases spread.
